You have auto insurance, cargo insurance, trailer interchange and disability insurance for that! The ghost policy is for workers Comp only, but me personally I’d never file a claim against myself, but if you have 1099 contractors or W-2 employees I’d rather you have a full policy vs. a ghost policy. FYI- as a reference I was quoted between $1,000 and $1300 for a ghost policy. I was quoted $3,000 - $4,000 for a full work Comp policy on myself!

Do you know of a good workers comp for this ? -
@rch10007 Thank you for putting together the information about Amazon and providing load photos. In this business, a carrier can operate with a shipper and do very well or it can't. Every truck business's running costs and breakeven points are different. Working with a carrier this year, I discovered MPG and labor costs largely determine if Amazon/ UPS Doubles/ Schnider can bring profit or loss in the fast freight space.
I want to ask about your experience getting verified with Realy. Did they call you to confirm your fmcsa information or simply use your RMIS profile? Did you write to the fmcsa asking to update your insurance displayed to 1Mil on the website?
Thanks

is 1 truck ok. or do they have a minimum

They never called...The only time I've ever spoken to anyone at Amazon is when I had to contact the ROC (Relay Operations Center) to discuss load info...even then, you submit a request for a callback. You'll probably never actually get ahold of anyone at Amazon. At this point, I can't even remember the process for how I got started with them...I think I just submitted an online app and they used RMIS and Safer to figure out if I could join.
FYI...rates are going back up again and they are trying to get folks to sign weekly (or longer) contracts. I would suggest to only use the load boards...as opposed to contracts. You'll make more by running less. Teams do very well with Amazon, but DAT and Truckstop have good numbers right now too. JB Hunt just had an $8000 load from my house to Portland, OR. If I wasn't working on my truck, I would have snatched that up because the NW has good $$ coming back to the east coast.Speed_Drums Thanks this. -
1 is ok.

oh wow. cool

Here is a list of some available loads from right now...
Please keep in mind, these are spot market rates, which means these loads are available all the time...but that's the risk running the spot market. You have to be willing to take a load anywhere.Attached Files:
