This guy posted the exact same thing in two different threads....and I'll say the same thing here that I said in the other thread.

Here's and idea....turn your truck off!
    Open your windows...buy a fan...stop wasting fuel.
Nobody needs to idle at 77 degrees and
besides...who wants to listen to your engine noise on a nice and peaceful spring afternoon!

It's because too many drivers can't use common sense and idle only when absolutely necessary... that we even have an idle policy at all.

Who are you to decide when somebody is comfortable? How about you use a little common sense and realize everyone is different. Or how about this common sense, tired driver gets into wreck, Schneider gets sued, but at least he didn't waste any fuel and ruin your perfect spring day. So in your world not idling is more important than sleep? Oh but you can sleep so everyone should be able to right?
Hey human race, we found our spokesman, no need for differences anymore.

2 years under his belt and he knows it all. If he doesn't want to listen to trucks idle he should get out of trucking! Maybe he'd enjoy his spring day better playing in his garden!

Dumb rookies like you probably have never been to Atlanta. During the day, the sun beats on your truck. At 77... It gets hot. Also in Atlanta, there is a thing called humidity. You're probably not aware of that either. Oh... Also in Atlanta. The wind does not blow.... Also in Atlanta... There is no such thing as a beautiful afternoon. How about a little compassion for a man trying to rest???

    HotH2o and KD8FQB Thank this.

Which OSR was it? If it was the short guy, he just has a Napoleon complex, just ignore him as long as you are within the guidelines. If it is 60 degrees or higher in Georgia, you will be sweating without some form of AC and I, like you, would not trust anyone anywhere with my windows down because I like to be alive and not robbed by some idiot. Just because the yard is "secured" does not mean it is safe to sleep in. If you want to know of a better place to park near Atlanta where no one will bother you just PM me. I know a really good spot that noone bothers anybody and next time you are there, you can park there if you are close. I am sorry that your break got interrupted, that is the main reason I left Schneider.

First off, sorry about the double post, tried to delete the other one. I won't name names as to who it was, there are just knuckleheads everywhere you go (even on this forum apparently).

But yeah, once a company's policies starts affecting my sleep, I have every right to be upset IMO. Saving fuel or not, at some point it becomes a safety concern.

@KE5WDP, we gotta meet up sometime man, us hams gotta stick together ;)

    KE5WDP Thanks this.

If Schneider really cared about saving fuel they'd: A. Get rid of all those old beat up P'sOS trucks that get 4 miles to the gallon fully loaded and: B. Let the driver choose his own route that isn't 1000 miles on a 2 lane road and having to slow down and/or stop in every small town along the way. I've dealt with both from Scneider.

Schneider is definitely hard ip for money cause 2 weeks after I quit I got a bill for the fuel card, load straps, spare lights, glad hand rubbers and zip ties. I'll mail back the fuel card even though my DBL told me i could keep it as a souvenir but that's all I have. Cheap ########!

They can't possibly bill you for the card. What was it a whole 5 cents? How are they also billing you for equipment and parts for the truck? Did you take that stuff with you when you quit?
