Ummmm...quickway? You did notice my age, which qualifies me as a Certified Fuddy-Duddy and therefore entitles me to use outdated phrases?
mtnMoma Thanks this. -
Horse's can sweat, cows and pigs are the common livestock you need concern yourself with more IMO. If there was at least a breeze they were probably OK. That and some cool water a couple times a day. Horses can cross White Sands and run from Zuni to Acome in the middle of summer. People have gotten softer in the last two centuries. Hell the mules wanted to stay out of the heat here Sat but that prick boss made us all get out there and pull stumps.
But the horses they use always look stressed to me. Probably just nervous more than anything.Marksteven, mvpofall and mtnMoma Thank this. -
Thank you, i didnt know that about horses. we were returning from lunch and the temp. was 100 on wed. afternoon. we pulled alongside a buggy at a stop light and to me the Horse looked distressed. i imagine the temp. of the blacktopped road was over 130deg. I think the dude should have stayed home that day and gave his horse a break. -
Yeah standing on the pavement for a shod horse probably sucks. But unless there was a dirt shoulder probably not alot he could do about it if he had to be out. I would assume it being that miserable he probably had a purpose for doing it and not out on a Sunday trot.

Apparently, it doesn't play well with Android. All I get is the home page.
Would you please give a synopsis? -
no drugs or alcohol in the drivers system.

sorry, but human life is so much more important than a Glue Stick (horse).
Why worry about the horse? It's not wild in the road plus, I see them all the time in NV and do you think they watch and care about you? -
The attorney for a truck driver accused in a deadly DUI crash says test results could free his client. Mark Bohms was charged with murder, assault and DUI after his tractor trailer hit an Amish buggy on July 8th. A 3 year old girl died in the crash. During a preliminary hearing police testified that Bohms was under the influence of stimulants and depressants at the time of the crash. Defense attorney, Rick Boling says toxicology results now prove that Bohms had no prescription medication or alcohol in his system. He says Bohms took his eyes off the road for a second and was unable to avoid hitting the buggy as he crested a hill. A Christian County, Kentucky Grand Jury will hear the case next monthmtnMoma, Injun, Les2 and 1 other person Thank this.
