Amp not working?

I'll assume you had it set to the proper wattage range for both measurements, and that it's measuring forward average power in AM mode.
Have your radio checks changed since you changed your power wiring? -
Tried it again today, didn't improve anything. Had a buddy drive away from me and stopped when I was fading out. Switched on the amp and nothing, pre amp doesn't even work either
Think the finals are gone? Opened it up and nothing smells or looks burnt. -
Does the LED above the power switch light up? Does the fan turn?

Yeah the lights work and so does the fan.
Tried to run the pre amp a while and it didn't even warm up. -
here is a nice piece of test equipment to beta match the transistors and verify they are functional.. Maybe you could find a technician who has one...

It's worth a shot.

The preamp is for RX not TX.
It seems as if there's no power and/or signal getting to the driver. Better get it to a shop.
