So you admit that despite the advantages of the old thought, new tech has its place and will eventually succeed the old.

Of course. I say again, A Moron Transmissions make poor drivers into average drivers. Their future looks bright indeed.

lol, Don't flatter yourself. I don't know who you are but one thing is for sure, there are very few truck drivers out there that I look up to for knowledge, and so far, you ain't one of them.
Please don't take that personally but nothing in your post has shown any hints that your thinking exceeds simple thoughts and deductions requiring nothing more than simple answers. You are in essence just another truck driver.

    I
if you can't stop from 25 mph with a light 80'000 lb load you really should do better brake checks before you drive your truck . I wouldn't be scared to kick it into nuetral and come to a safe stop with 100'000 lbs because I know my brakes are good and adjusted properly... Might be more to the story

I'm a carrier. But I'll take the compliment regardless.

But that doesn't prove he's wrong. You didn't post any evidence that he's wrong. I asked for numbers or studies, just like you did. You didn't provide that.

All new trucks also have CARB crap. I guess that makes them more reliable than older trucks? Hell, the insurance companies like round wheels for some reason.

Magoo you try coming down a 7% grade no Jakes no power what so ever your engine is Deader than dead your air is dropping every time you hit the pedal from not having an engine turning and to really make it fun you and this is what he had in front of him a pair of rolling refineries in FRONT OF HIM. What decision would you make Runaway Ramp or Back Door Slam 8K gallons of Gasoline. He had already pulled his trailer button to drag those brakes to slow down however he was screwed.
