I had a S&W SD40VE that had a horrible trigger and atrocious sights that i traded in to get my Roger American 7mm-08.

I like the 1911 cuz it fits my frame well, long and think like me, and is heavy enough to use as a bludgeon if needed. :D

I believe the Creed is a relatively newer gun. The weight isn't too bad and it runs 16+1. I'm less worried about through and throughs with today's bullet designs.

Since I work for a "no guns" company I have to rely on impromptu weaponry and my own hands. Not really an issue in confined spaces even though I'm a giant. I worry more about the wide open areas and tend to become hyper vigilant in those cases.

Yep, I have one of those that I bought on a whim, just because I liked the way it looked. I agree, the trigger is crap... I can't hit anything with it and it jams all the time.

Meanwhile, my other sub $300 pistol, a SCCY CPX-2, runs flawlessly. I carry it all the time.

I only do DAO pistols for concealed carry.

Ruger P-89 9mm. Next to 1911s there my favorite semi auto gun. Only jammed once on me and that was from a cheap bullet.

The Taurus 45 I had for awhile, now that was junk

For impromptu weaponry the chain on my wallet makes a decent flail.

Do you wear a seatbelt? Have a smoke detector in your house? Got insurance of any sort?

    I'm not scared... just prepared.

I've always been fond of 1911's. They point well for me and feel good in my hand. I'll take one of those over a Glock 21, which feels too much like I'm holding a brick.

The only drawback to the 1911 one must bear in mind is the single stack mags. That means you're limited to 7 or 8 rounds.

My Sig 226 is DAO. I hate that, and I'm changing that the first chance I get once I round up the parts.

Ruger makes a fine weapon. No doubt about that.

Taurus was good at one time. I'll never buy a new one, but I like my PT-99 that I bought 17 years ago and my 689 revolver that I affectionately call the poor man's Colt Python. :D
