Nothing you "Delt with" at the J is worth getting worked up over. If you are gonna get that worked up over nothing, I suggest you find another career. I hear Burger King is hiring, it may be more your speed.

You guy's are something else. If there is a legit reason to pull backwards in the fuel island due to the DEF issue, okay I got it. I stand corrected.

AS far as being a 'little inconvenienced,' it has more to do with principle. Comparing stop and go traffic to a professional driver parking on the fuel island is like comparing apples to oranges. I don't plan on changing my career. Part of the problem is some people don't care; the people who park on the fuel island and the people behind them who say nothing and just bend over and take it.

Then, someone else thinks its absurd to have an attendant on the fuel island because it causes more trouble and regulation. TO that person all I can say is if I owned my truck stop, there would not be people camping on the fuel island.

Let me add this too, we have CSA now because of people who don't care. Yes, people that don't care about pretripping their vehicles, or dispatchers trying us to run illegal, etc. It's not perfect, but I'm happy it's here as now there is a lot less crap to deal with and people are more interested in doing things the right way.

and how would you prevent people from camping on the fuel island? hire more people? that increases your costs, and reduces your profit. You do realize that truck stops make a very small profit from selling fuel?

That is why a bad cup of coffee costs us $3 at some places.

That may be but your reaction to it is not. If something as simple as a truck stop frustrates you I can only imaging what traffic is going to do to you.

What are you going to do start a fight over someone parking at a fuel island? Most of the ones that I have been to have more than one pump. Of course I don't get east of the Mississippi either. It's just not worth the ulcer you are going to have in 5 years. There are always going to be inconsiderate people that you have to deal with and you need to learn how or this is going to be a short career for you.

I'll bet you are still young and as time moves on, you will understand just how fast it moves. Slow down and enjoy what life has to offer and don't let the little things under your skin.

personally, I stay far away as possible from those ..What I Like to call.."Mega-Travel centers"

Too crowded...poor Service, No Parking Why waste Time I Figure...

Brightly Lit Mega travel centers crowded with Soccer Moms and Tourists Serving Fast food is not My Ideal Place to Stop after a Long day

    Whats an Ideal Truckstop?

A Quiet,Dimly Lit,smoke friendly atmosphere with a Restaurant And Hard working folks with GOOD conversation

I just fueled at the little Pilot in Nashville on the Brilly parkway.

The first pump is blocked by a delivery truck, that's ok
2nd pump has a Western Express fueling
    3rd has a Crete fueling
4th has a Roadway doubles and the driver was inside at Subway

    Crete leaves
i fuel and clean the windows
Western Express doesn't pull up, just goes inside.
I leave and the driver waiting takes my pump and confronts the dirtiest Western Express driver ever.
I wait and watch, holding Roadway up:( thought they'd fight. Got bored and left .

Anymore I find myself hating truck drivers more after every stop at any truck stop .
The one place that we can do something to help each other out is the place where it is hurray for me F you .

I hear all the crying about how every one treats us like crap and then watch drivers treat each other worse than any shipper or receiver out there .

It is a sad thing to watch a once honorable profession turn into the thing that it is today .
We can not expect to be treated well by the general public when we cant even treat ourselves right.

I know it is not just trucking but the whole world that is like this now but I but that don't mean I have to like it .

I miss the days when all you had to worry about was the idiots in the four wheelers and you could count on your fellow driver to have your back.
Now days I worry about the idiots in the trucks and don't even notice the four wheelers.

Add an attendant that can fuel the truck and wash the windows and you've just about got it made,
