US Xpress Enterprises
Note: A lot of this information came from their website and I am sure they have newer equipment for someone to lease bit it will be more $$ for you. Can anyone shed some light on the type of lease???
Requirements: none
Type of lease: 12 month lease
Governed Speed: 65
Cost of lease: $463 per week or $1852 per month
Reefer Fuel: N/A Dry Van Only
Fuel Programs: Fuel surcharge or FSC
Equipment: 2007 Freightliner Century
Pay: sliding payscale
My opinion: This company is know for ripping people off left and right. I have yet to to see one o/o make it here in their lease program. I would not recommend them until I see more people successfully complete their lease program. While the the $463 per week lease may seem low please keeep in mind: That you are getting a used truck and the chances of breaking down is greater than with a new truck. With this economy, are you sure you will get the miles in order to pay off the lease. Finally, they have habit of ripping your DAC should you quit.

I do not have sufficent information roehl to do this; however, if you are interested you can follow the link to the thread. It is unfair for the members to be given false information. I will evaluate them as soon as a member can give me the information. If you lease from them, pm me.

I hope nobody takes this the wrong way, but personaly I have been laughing at the sheet-tay packages posted in this thread that these mega carriers offer. Just too funny!!! Lease a truck that the carrier has governed? HAHA.. WTF is that all about?
Lease operators are essentialy company drivers who have to buy fuel then.
There are plenty of smaller companies out there who will lease on a true O/O who has his own truck. Hint, these companies are not the ones advertising in the little free trucker book mags at truckstops either.
Good luckLuis, Delirious Nomad and Crotts Trucking Thank this. -

Anyone that goes to Prime to lease has a CHOICE of the truck they want. I CHOSE to lease a older truck thus reducing my cost.
I have been talking to other drivers about how they have been doing and do agree that many are struggling. Just like many drivers industry wide. However, if you LISTEN to many of these drivers some of the struggling is a direct result of the choices they have made. The belief of leasing the truck and taking a week off when you feel like it will have an effect on your bottom line. Or wanting to go to the yard all time.
Lie I said I thnk this thread is a good idea. Just hope those reading it will do some checking around of their own. I know this post was NOT accurate.Baack and david07003 Thank this. -
Has anyone heard of Baldwin Distribution? They offer a lease with a dollar payout but their rate is low.

They're out of Amarillo if I'm not mistaken. Reefer outfit, so it stands to reason you'll find them in the local packing houses in that part of Texas.
I heard somewhere that they haul a lot of swinging meat...correct me if I'm wrong.
Good looking trucks and trailers though....newer and clean.
That's all the input I have.big wheels and The Challenger Thank this.
