Everyone has to start somewere and sometime. The last thing i am is new and still learn something everyday .my term manager has never drove and is over 100s of trucks and he does a great job.the lady in the office thats does log books has never drove but knows part 395 better than most (truckers).i dont know about the rest of you but the info i have looked over is right .use it as a tool like your gps or a map you would not turn right if the road was going to take you to a 12 ft underpass ! Or turn left on a road that was not there anymore.i would not sign a lease on something i found on the internet but it is a good tool .he is doing alot of leg work for us and putting together alot of info. Give him a brake some of us dont know everything yet!!!!im not trying to upset anyone but give it a rest already read it or not .or post your own and let us check it out . I will take all the info i can get before i sign on the line

oh come on now... that's not true. just the annoying young guys, wait... aren't they all? nevermind...

seriously though. I always try to post info when it's asked regaurdless of who's asking it. I think we just tend to get to jaded about this industry after years and years. it's the job I love to hate

You bring up a darn good point, Bronco.
Past, present, and future drivers need to put there heads together, share info, and work towards making the trucking industry better.

I can understand where you're coming from, MM.....y'all are in a TOUGH industry, and it's as tough as I have ever saw it right now. But if you old hands can help the young guys out just maybe they can bring in some fresh ideas and info that will help you old hands.

I have noticed many posters doing whatever they can to discourage new drivers.

I try to keep low key, because the industry is not the best for everyone and at the same time, not everyone is the same.

If a picture is painted how bad it is for the new guys, they will not even try.

that's where someone without this "addiction" in their system comes in.
hell, ya been at it alot longer than i have Al.
you KNOW our vision gets clouded by dreams of the road. we often take risks we should NOT. sometimes it works, sometimes it don't.
these #### companies make THEIR lease sound like the best thing since sliced bread. anyone that has read enough on here or EXPERIENCED it for themselves KNOWS that it NEVER IS.
the last post on this thread SHOULD read.....
DO NOT LEASE FROM THE CO. YOU WORK FOR.
    "DON'T EAT WHERE YA ####!

I think the point of some of the recent posts is getting lost. It was never an issue of old hands helping new hands. Most are happy to answer questions. It wasn't even about being a driver or not. The issue alot of us have is that KH has no practical experience to give out some of the advice that he does.. He tries to give grand advice when all he has to fall back on is what he's read. I have nothing against him. It's just that some people may put too much stock in what he says.. Now, of course, any smart person would also do their own independent research.

I know KH is trying to be helpful, but to me he comes across as a Trucking Groupie..

And as it's also been said, I don't need to read this thread.. But I've never had an infraction and what better place to get one.. :biggrin_25525: j/k
