And I would have had more time left (about 5 minutes)except, just as I lined up to back into a parking spot, the stupid Peoplenet decided to install an update... thankfully it didn't take too long or I would have been over on my drive time.

Speaking of the Peoplenet update, did they mention anything about it on this weeks propaganda forum? (I don't waste my time watching those any more). I don't see anything new, but one of the files started with EFS. I hope they aren't going to forced fuel locations, that would suck!!!

On tha Kenworth pic. At the top back corner of the sleeper it looks like they installed a bracket and looks like antennas mounted on it for peoplenet. Am I seeing that correctly? If so wonder how long it will take someone to knock that off with a tree branch

That's for our amber Oversize strobes, and I agree, once they get lights on there, they are sticking up in the danger zone, although the KW I had was only 13'1" to the top of the DirectTV satellite dish.

This is where they were on my KW(although they don't look all that much lower to be honest)

Looks as though I chose the right route. I decided to go up thru SD and MT instead of WY. Google Maps shows I-80 closed from Cheyenne to almost Rock Springs even today. I-90 was a bit crappy this morning between Box Elder and the other side of Rapid City, SD and some of I-90 west of Gilette was orange and red, so I took the scenic route up thru the Indian Res and it was dry and sunny. Been years since I took US-212 across there. Forgot how scenic that route is... nice change from the interstate...like the cab driver on Planes, Trains, and Automobiles said "all you see on interstate is interstate".

I Just snuck through Wyoming on Thursday. I left brush colorado and made it to Mccammon, id. Of course woke up to 6” of snow on my hood the next morning but it didn’t slow me down much.

One of our other drivers had a 16’ wide, we both left brush at the same time but he was planing on shutting down in green river, wy (about 2 pm), I’m not sure if he made it through or no.

as for the peoplenet update from a few days ago, I didn’t see anything. On the forum or my peoplenet unit. The updates don’t seem to go to everyone at the same time.

The updates were quick, so if it hit your truck while you were sleeping or on a 30 and not looking, it might have happened and be done. I don't see any changes, mine is still just as sluggish as it ever was. Hopefully it fixes the issue I have where it doesn't automatically detect the engine starting and switch to drive time when I pull away. I have to stop and reboot the thing a half dozen times a week when it does that. My KW never did that, but this one does it when you least expect it....

Scratch that hope...started the truck this morning, went out to kick the tires and light the fires...and the little enging icon was still on the Peoplenet when I got back in the truck, meaning that it didn't detect the engine starting.

Been an interesting trip. It's been years since I have seen a bald eagle, and I saw two late last week on my way out here. Made it west of Missoula Saturday. Looked like mostly smooth sailing the rest of the way with the exception of some light snow between Spokane and Moses Lake...however MT road crews decided that 5 am Sunday morning was a good time to get the road grader and plows out and clear the mounds of snow away from the center wall leading up to Lookout Pass(which it was, there were only 3 trucks and a couple 4 wheelers waiting behind them) Got thru that after a minor delay and then I noticed that the road before Ritzville, WA was orange on Google Maps. So, I stopped briefly at the Love's in Post Falls to give it time to clear. After about 30 minutes it was green, so I proceeded. Got to within 10-15 miles of Ritzville and it turned foggy. I was planning on stopping to top off my tanks in Ritzville anyway, so I stopped and showered, then filled up. By the time I got that done, all the fog was gone and I made a beeline for North Bend. Got there just after noon and got my reserved spot and camped out. They hadn't sent me anything as of Friday after I get empty, so that usually means they're waiting to see if there is anything to pick up Monday morning before deadheading me to Arlington, so no real rush to get down to the delivery this morning. I figure, since they don't come in until 7, why be empty and sitting there waiting before then.

I also saw a lot of Genie® equipment rolling east this trip. I'm guessing between 20-25 trucks, mostly System trucks, so it looks like some construction business is picking up back east.

The new logo is now being used on company emails. Sent my travel agent a copy of my signed b/l (sometimes a pic on a txt message doesn't always get thru). He sent a reply and at the bottom it had the new logo.

What I don't understand is, the company got a violation for having our name abbreviated on the door of our trucks, so they had to get updated stickers with it printed out. Now, the new logo doesn't have Smokey Point anywhere, only our initials...are we dropping the name Smokey Point and just changing to SPD?

That would work, as long as I get a siren and a 'get out of ticket free' ID card :Police car v2:
