Having worked for System twice I can tell you they always made appointments for deliveries. Once I went to work somewhere else pulling flatbed I realized how much more FCFS there actually was.

Hauling Kaiser aluminum plates. The Chattanooga stop has instructions to call 48 hrs in advance, and reviews on Google Maps say average wait time is 3 hrs for a 15 min unload. I only have 2 packs to unload, so hopefully if I am my normally charming self, they'll be greatful I braved a blizzard to get them their product...o_O...I won't hold my breath for that

What does the significance of the 14000 mile club mean?

They make a 1/2 scale copper bust and put it in the dispatching bullpen. That way they know what can happen if they really work hard.

Just bragging rights. One of the guys I went thru orientation with joined the 15k mile club...a month or so later he was selected twice in 7 days to provide a pee sample.

The guy that hit 15k this month is non stop #####ing in the driver Facebook group. Bad enough that Travis felt the need to rebut some Of this claims. Just can’t can’t make some people happy.

my last 14k month was two November’s ago on almost all legal freight. I grossed over $13k for the month. Not to shabby for a company man.

Got to my customer in Chattanooga. Talked to another driver who has been here a few times. He says they open at 4 am, and are FCFS not appointment, plus they have different doors for different products. He has plate steel, a TMC is here with small bars, I am here with aluminum plate. And there is another tarped trailer a driver dropped and bobtailed out, so not sure what the load is. I only have 2 15' packs, so hopefully they can get me out of here with enough time the other stops won't even know I was delayed.

And this is all IF my truck doesn't have an issue...when I loaded I had to lock in the diff lock and the axle lock (you have to climb on an elevated scale with your drives, and they were wet and slippery). When I left, about the time I was getting into Spokane, I kept getting an axle lock overspeed warning. I hit the Idaho rest area and wiggled and jiggled and got it to quit. Then, when getting off the interstate near the delivery, it started again...I checked all the wires I could reach going to the diffs to see if an electrical connection was loose or wires were tight but found nothing.

One of the many reasons I don't waste time on Facebook or be part of any company group on any socialist media platform.
