Just Detroit to Windsor. Takes about 30 min one way.

Enjoy...it will probably take 10x that long to board and disembark.

They are pretty quick. They do a round trip every two hours including loading and unloading.

Must be a smaller boat than I was on. It took almost 2 hours to load the one that brought me back to the mainland...trucks went on after everything else, including ATV's and side by sides.

Just a wee bit smaller. The most we have had on there was two wings, 4 escorts, and two other trucks. 54818167235__F30416FD-4599-4AD5-A9CF-421E82DAFBE6.jpeg I did see them put this 20 axle on there. Backed it right off the street, into a Z shape because it was two long. The last axle and pusher motor were hanging over the water. it was wild. IMG_6367.jpeg

The BWB isn’t bad going into Canada except on Fridays. Getting out of Canada is a major PITA M-W. Oversize is capped at 11’ wide.

Definitely way smaller than the ferry I was on...mine looked like a small cruise ship

Got a surprise this morning when I went to deliver...the contractor doesn't remove the actual container from our trailer. Called the broker and they said yep, you take it to Nashville to a rail container company. Came to find out that, SPD sales was informed of this, but never passed the word to Op's(she actually forwarded me the e-mail convo) So, once they pulled the 1 39' piece out of the container, I was off to Nashville. They straightened it out and put it under a separate trip number. Broker says they pay $100 extra to do it this way, no telling how much of that the driver gets...but I made more money for it either way. Now I am headed to Wilkesboro, NC to pick up 1 40' hazmat storage container headed for OK. Total gravy runs lately. Once I transflo'd in the paperwork for today's deliveries, my GPS says I will have run just under 9000 miles for this month with 11 days at home. So it doesn't look like that strike at Spirit is doing much to slow us down, although I have been dealing with brokers more than usual.(unless I have been doing broker loads a lot before, just never had to talk to the brokers themselves)

Another day, another surprise. Get to shipper and....the hazmat storage container I am picking up was supposed to be legal sized, but it isn't...check in and...it's 10'2" wide...and it isn't a normal container it's like a oil field skid and it is also a tornado shelter...so, mo money, mo money, mo money. The guy in shipping says SPD knew about it when they got the order because there was another SPD here yesterday picking up one just like it. Had to wait until Arlington got in, then wait on permits...and now I get to go a different route...gota love open deck...never a boring day.

@kylefitzy, did the Canucks keep you prisoner up in the great white north?
