I didn’t know UPS had a truckload Div, I know TFI bought UPS LTL freight Div, and from what’s been said they’re not doing real good?

Rumors don’t make it true though!!!

    Lonesome Thanks this.

I’m personally excited! I already have my appointment to get the Canadian flag tattooed, just need to chose which cheek.

Managed to do almost 600 miles today going around Atlanta and through Chattanooga on a Friday before the holiday. I’ll take it.

A landstar driver helped me toss this tarp in the back of the trailer at my customer in GA. Real nice guy. Couldn’t talk him into helping with the heavy sob on the other end. IMG_6334.jpeg
Fo you really care if freightwaves dot com cares about SPD? I couldn’t give two ####s if they’ve even heard of SPD.

we now have after hours access to the bathrooms in Wichita. They had to build a cage like at other yards to keep our CTPAT raiting. Showers will come sooner then later.

I keep hearing about this pending recession, ever since covid ended. We’ve never been busier, especially on the OD side.

The UPS I was talking about was the tractor trailer division (whether LTL or Line Haul), not to be confused with the little brown delivery trucks. Not sure which division their logistics falls under..

As far as changes on our end of things, once the Canucks are approved to add Daseke into their flock, I expect them to run it their way...to think they wouldn't would be naive...who would spend a billion dollars to buy a company and not run it their way. And as big as they are, we may as well be working for a Canadian version of Knight-Swift-U.S.Xpress

As far as the OD being busy, you must be in all the right places because my FM has guys #####in at him because they haven't seen one in forever, and as far as I am concerned I'll never haul another one for E.W. Smokey Point Wylie Distributing.

And this recession is already happening. This last tour of duty I had more 34's waiting for a load than the previous 6 months. Things are slowing down, at least for most of us here, and 2024 doesn't look promising, at least for the 1st couple of quarters. And now that I have been forced off the daily rate plan, every day I sit screws me.

Hope you and yours have a wonderful holiday. I am sitting here enjoying a cup of coffee enjoying the sunshine myself, although it was a bit chilly this morning up here in northern FL(at least for Floridians)...and we're supposed to have a wet Christmas, so I guess the grandkids won't be out breaking their new toys on the first day.

I’m glad you were able to make it home.

I’m doing some free laundry in FTW, in the dark because the lights don’t work! But free is free. Then SPD is going to buy $25 worth of my steak dinner later tonight.

heading for SAV in the morning with a 64’ trailer someone preloaded before they wen home last week. Team work!

If you ever see me in another Acklie truck, seek a medical professional because you've either gone crazy or are under the influence of some hallucinogenic drug...I would rather panhandle at the end of the interstate ramp 18 hours a day 7 days a week than ever accept a job from those narcissistic self righteous micromanaging pathological lying ########.
