Google Maps isn't known for their up to date info when it comes to road closures.

I had considered that, but after @drvrtech77 mentioned the OR road website, I took a look and their cameras didn't paint a very pretty picture over some of the passes.

I hit some of the white stuff between the UT line and Boise, but nothing dramatic other than some hail around the Boise Stage stop...not sleet, but actual hail. Sounded like when a grain wagon passes you with a leaky hopper bouncing corn off your truck...plus it was accumulating on the road, but it only lasted for a mile or so. I called my Caldwell customer and asked if they could unload today instead of tomorrow, and they said sure thing, bring it on in. So I got empty and hauled arse west before the predicted blizzard hits around cabbage. OR had all their winter precip cleaned up...I didn't even drop below freezing until just before the Meacham exit. Now I am sitting at the Arrowhead truckstop and there is no winter weather predicted the rest of the way across OR for a couple days.

I glanced at TripCheck and around the 300 looked down right nasty.

I hear quite a few of our KS to Ca guys got hung up when south west Kansas got hammered yesterday. Looks like they should be back rolling today though along 54/400.

I ran just under 4K miles on this past round of 70hours.

I rolled into my receiver around 530 to beat the 6-9 curfew in LA. They weren’t supposed to open until 8am but I was empty at 630. Rolled over to the shipper that opens at 7, I pulled in at 705 and was the first truck. They are nice and quick so I was tarped and gone by 830.

Of course the one time I can get in and out of LA with almost zero issues and at a decent hour, my 70 is shot. Only made it as far as Barstow. That puts me 1279 miles from delivery, so it’s going to be a couple of long days.

I saw the news conference when they announced they found the door in some guys garden. They said they didn't find any of the bolts....well duh, this thing blew off at 16,000 feet...I can't find a bolt if I drop it while working under my vehicles hood if I don't see exactly where it hit the ground. And, for falling (or sailing) 16,000 feet, the door they showed is in remarkably good shape.

Those loaders at that warehouse are as fast as the previous warehouse (not sure if it's the same ones that just moved over or not). It's a shame more places aren't like that.(not that I am complaining, most of our customers seem to have their stuff together for the most part)

Got in touch with my 3rd stop (which originally had an 8 am Thursday appointment), and asked them if they had any time available today. They said if I could be there before 16:00 they would be more than happy to unload me since I only had 4 units. Pulled in, 2 forklifts came out, both picked up 2 units at a time, bills signed. Total time from arrival to departure, 15 minutes...and some of that time was me manually rolling the 4 straps up and putting them away.
