Did you winch on both sides or just the one? Interesting don’t have chain extensions in my box, but interesting

I did both sides. Plus I used 1 in the back for a 4" ratchet straps because the pallet was too close to the j-plate grove to lock plate in the right direction (but too far to use it in reverse)

Those adapters, along with some shorty chains come in handy. I have 4 shorty chains that were made out of some old chains that had some bad links and weren't legal, so I cut out the bad links and bought grade 70 hooks from tractor supply and made them usable again.

There are 2 additional things I like about this brand of conestoga that make them more useable than the other brands we have. One, the conestoga track is mounted with spacers between the rub rail and the track. This trailer doesn't have the big strap bar under the deck, it's got those funky sliding angled aluminum strap hook mounts between the strap winders. Because this has the adjustable rear axle, they didn't put any winders or strap hook mounts between the axles. That gap allows you to feed the strap up thru between the track and rub rail, then hook the strap hook to the rub rail and a 4" ratchet on the other side (I really need to get some pocket winches when I use step decks).

The other part I like is how the top deck part of the conestoga frames secure to the lower part when you have to move the whole tarp to the back. Instead of the little notch in the guide rail with the little latch (that comes lose if you don't bungee it open) it has a wide rail with hole and an big pin that is way more secure

Just got off the phone with my delivery. Since the load instructions showed me 2 different appointment dates, I just wanted to verify which date worked better for him to unload. He said they have a heavy lift OD scheduled for Wednesday (the date that was in the receiver's part of the load info), so, I would have had to wait until that unload was completed before I got unloaded, he said tomorrow would actually be better for them to unload me. So, busting butt and getting this as close as I did really helped.

Unloaded and gone within 90 minutes (they had to wait for another crew to get done using their fork extension). Headed west to the Peelot in Winona, MS...no load yet.

I am curious, when did Blair and P & S merge(or partner up)? The last few months I have seen Blair (an O/O company) pulling P & S trailers...did one buy the other or they just teamed up?

They’re all one big happy family under DT if I’m not mistaken, Blair, PS, DMT, Shelton, and I’ve seen a new one lately SEL. I think this took place a few years back.

Well, something is in the works in regards to a load for me. My dispatcher asked if my tandems slide...I told him one set does(with a smiley emoji). So, I might be getting something heavy, or something that will need the whole lower deck that needs my tandems open because it weighs enough to exceed 34k with them closed.

Well I popped my coil cherry, at least skidded coils. Picked up 5 coils. A broker load. They waited 4 hours to tell me, pickup 115 miles away. When I got to the shipper, I was the 5th truck in line. Didn't have all the pickup numbers on the Sam-crappa, so I tried to call the broker, gone for the day. Called Arlington, and they pulled the paperwork the broker sent and poof, the other number was found. Once loaded, when I went to close the conestoga, the front trolly on the driver's side jumped off the track...so, before I could pull out to secure my load, I had to fight with that. By the time I got that all done and secured, it was almost to my 14(and the POS wasn't correcting my 14 for my earlier sleeper time)...decided to PC to the nearest truck stop, and when I put it in PC...then the time came back for the 4 hours I spent in the sleeper earlier. They want these coils in OKC tomorrow by 15:00...but after waiting for a load, waiting in line to load, fighting the conestoga back on track and securing, there is no physical way I can get there by then. Mentioned it to my dispatcher, but said I should contact the broker on this load, and they had gone home for the day, so I will call in the morning.

    Anyway, this is my load
