Well, it's been 6 months or so since my last nuisance email from Creaffer, but I got one this afternoon...as nasty as I got after the last one, I am surprised the would even speak to me (figuratively speaking).

I’m jealous of you @supersnackbar i drive a little over 9 miles one way to the truck, doesn’t seem like much, but in todays Ocala traffic, it’s a bit of nightmare. Sometimes I’m in every night, sometimes I’m gone all week, one thing that remains though, the drive to and from sucks.

Honest question from someone who doesn't use elogs: Do you have to log on to On Duty to approve your logs?

Nope. On the Peoplenet I use to approve them from my phone, then just do a log download on the truck's unit before I headed back out. As quirky as these units have been, I would probably have to reboot multiple times or sign out and back in to get them to update on the truck properly if I tried that with this system.

I just use my phone too. Nearly all my issues went away after stop using the tablet in the truck.
A few times it’s messed up the location, that’s always been fixed by restarting the app. it also has issues crossing the border twice in a day while simultaneously trying to log a split sleeper birth. Sometimes I can do that, occasionally I have to go into “violation” because it’s confused. That’s fine, I know the HOS.

I guess after 13 days at home I actually have to do something if I want a pay check. I’m deadheading over 800 miles from my house to Mississippi to repower an oversize trailer going to Texas. Another guys truck broke down and had to be towed to the dealer.

After how long you were on the road, 13 days is more than acceptable.

As far as solving the Samsara issues by using my personal electronics, that'll never happen. I didn't ask for this retarded system, I'll be ###### if I am putting their tracking apps on my stuff simply because Daseke had their head up their butt and forced all their companies to use the same system without doing in depth product testing. As long as Samsara has been in the ELD game, they should have had their act together by now.

Almost all of this electronic nonsense goes right over the top of my head, but as far as parking the truck was concerned, it was always at the company's base exactly 3 kms (a couple of miles?) from my house though very occasionally the tractor unit alone was parked just down the hill for some special reason. When I came to live here to live 24 years ago I applied to 13 companies in the region for a job. Some of them were over 50 kms away. I got lucky. :)

Man samsara is consistently ####. They added the “inbox” screen back, hopefully it goes away. All of these messages were while I was in the sleeper, hours after I parked. This looks like an every night thing. IMG_6972.png

I’ve been getting Samsara updates every other day lately. Not sure why.

That's where there is a "Task" bar at the bottom of the "home" screen? That what mine did on the 1st update the other day, then the next night it changed back to the original screen we had before. I haven't gone out and looked at it this morning to see what got changed on mine last night.
