I have a similar dislike for some grocery warhouses, but with the right company, reefer has a fair amount of drop and hook loads. Besides, you can haul most dry loads on a reefer but not vise versa. Plus, most dry van companies use spring ride plate trailers. I've pulled enough of that kind of equipment in my early years out here that it wouldn't bother me if I never pulled another one for the rest of my career.

Good thing I didn't shower last night then...if I leave the club, I want to do it on my terms.

Got here to the Rancho yard and found that Robert is on vacation...oh great, the last time I had to deal with Arlington when he was out and I was down here, I almost came to the yard and booked a flight home they had it so screwed up.

I’m not going to say it will be perfect, but the guy covering was the east coast planner for 5+ years before moving back to WA. He knows his ####.

He must not be the one that covered for Robert the last time then, that was a 5 finger fuster cluck. I messaged my travel agent and asked if I had anything preplanned, since I am here at the yard, I could pick up some of the dunnage we need if I end up getting a shingles load again. I would rather go straight there and load after Dominguez rather than have to come here for supplies.

I had one the other day that kicked the **** out of me all the way up from Dallas. Usually they aren’t terrible but this was a new trailer so idk if the springs were extra stiff (or if that even matters) or what. It was a preloaded sealed trailer so I couldn’t see how it was loaded, but it was light enough where i could put my tandems anywhere, and I tried everything. It felt like my old dump trucking days in my teens! :boxing:

It wasn't very complimentary to the job performance of a previously mentioned person in Arlington...but another load SNAFU went FUBAR, but it wasn't his fault, so I had to retract what I said.
