I need a bigger sleeper so I have enough room for my rocking chair and cases of Geritol™ :D

Come on now. If I’ve driven 2-sticks I’m sure you have to remember them. :biggrin_25523:

Of course the ones I’ve been in were the easy kind, Macks with 1-5 on one and low, direct, and reverse on the other.

Cake of a tyranny. A lot better then the old tri-plex 1-5 main and 3 spd compound but better than today's autos.

The only ones I've seen were on YouTube. The oldest transmission I have driven was a Mack 5 speed, it was the transmission I learned how to float gears, mainly because those old transmissions couldn't be forced to shift, you learned to float or you didn't shift it.

I’m one of those new aged old drivers, had a chauffeurs license in 87’ and drove locally over the summer, worked in a different industry until 2015 and then got a CDL, closing in on the first and only million lol.

I’ll be 60 this year and yeah some of the new old driver are well, just special…

Wearing a bad pair of shorts, white Uneck T shirt, black socks, and wingtip shoes. "GET OFF MY LAWN!"
