Just needed a big forklift. But even their forklift that can lift 15 ton was challanged by the location. Their driveway had a downward angle, then right where the sidewalk crosses the driveway, the angle increases. They eased it down right next to my truck with the forks just above the ground, but when he went to lift it, it got tippy. So they had me pull forward and they drove out into the street where it was level, then I backed up and they set it on without any problems.

My trip plans have changed twice. Originally, after loading, I was gonna try to get to Fernley, do a restart then proceed. But the delay changed that, so I figured Sparks. Then traffic was ungodly, so I decided to just to reset in Ripon. However, Donner is under a winter weather advisory after midnight tonight thru midday tomorrow, and I am super light. So, I am gonna able to get to Winnemucca, then do my reset there. By the time I am rolling again, all the crappy weather WY has right now, along with the wind they're expecting tomorrow will all be done and gone. I still will make it to Boston by Tuesday, as long as no other surprises arise.

Eventually I’ll learn to trust my first instinct. I knew I was probably getting a container after I dropped my two stop load. One of my coworkers just hauled one of these and he said it sat perfectly flat on the trailer.

I knew better but I didn’t grab any wood. That dang thing is 6” in the air on each end and wouldn’t you know it, no wood to be found anywhere. Usually stuff is lying all over behind the last row. IMG_7350.jpeg IMG_7351.jpeg

Where did you pick that one up? I know it isn't at one of our terminals...there is concrete beneath your tires

That was at a sheetz in Ohio? I think. I loaded at one of the ports in NJ. Taking it to Wichita to do a wing on Saturday. Kind of would have rather taken it to SLC but someone has to train these new guys.

Looks like I made the right choice to evacuate Cali yesterday. They have the chain law up over Donner. Maybe I can stay between the storms because they say round 2 in coming in over the weekend

Looking like a rain snow mix in WY on 80, as long as your fellow drivers don’t play bumper truck hopefully you’ll make it through just fine.

Made it to Avoca, IA for the night without any issues, except the Samsara acting crazy. My tablet got 2 updates over the last week and it isn't any better than it was. I actually saw it change my location twice today. When I 1st checked it, it had the right location, then it blinked, and changed my current location to the same location I was previously stopped at. I wonder how fast they'd fire me if I put my fist thru it...
