thank you for your input. I’m pretty tall so i’ll have to go down to my local Dodge dealer (they also sell Nissans) and sit in one. The Tacomas i agree are small inside. I did sit in a Ranger awhile back and it was actually a decent fit.

I really don’t want to pay the price of a full size truck. I built a truck on Fords website awhile back and even a pretty barebones XLT model is well into the 50’s. Another thing i don’t like about it is that if you want a 6.5’ bed crew cab, Ford forces you into a 4x4. I have no need or want for 4 wheel drive. GM at least has an option for a two wheel drive model with that configuration. But even that is in the low 50’s for a sparsely optioned LT (it’s a truck, not a Cadillac. Why some people pay 80k+ for a pickup is beyond me)

So that basically leaves me with midsize pickups. The Frontier is really the only logical choice in my mind. I think a 4 cylinder turbo in a truck is stupid. Yes it gets better gas mileage…but in theory only. You really have to rag on those turbo 4’s to get their power, which only hurts longevity. It’s also the only midsize pickup besides Toyota that is offered with a 6’ bed now. All others that have dropped them

Also there was a time not too long ago that over 300 hp in a midsize truck was complete overkill

I'm 6'2" 235lbs, most of it in my ### and if I put the seat all the way back, its actually uncomfortable far. My 2024 doesnt have the telescoping steering wheel, but the 2025s now do. One gripe I forgot to mention as it only seems to affect us taller fellas is that Nissan put 2 grab handles down by the gear shifter, one on either side. No idea why, they serve zero purpose other than to rub the outside of your right knee until it drives you nuts.

I just checked every ford dealer in my city(Portland) and almost every dealer has several F150's in the mid 40's. There are still deals to be had if you choose new. I found several Rams in the mid 40's, though most had the pentastar v6.

If you havent already looked, please consider the Honda Ridgeline. It have a naturally aspirated V6 and has , arguably, the most comfortable ride out there for trucks. Yes, its built on the unibody platform, But you really need to drive it. You can pick one up for 40k. You dont have a 6 foot bed though.

I hope not. I've never gone back to a company that I previously worked for. All of my moves were to big and better things. I guess that's why I was able to retire at 60 as a company driver.

Your 7 feet tall? How do you fit in your semi? I have a Lincoln MKX SUV and even its 3.7 V6 has over 300 hp. Surprised me when I found that out.

Here also. I don't know how well it's working for JB , but it's great for the wrecker business.

I test drove a gladiator before buying my 2021 ram 1500. Didnt like the way you satwhile driving which was a big complaint in the reviews of them. I currently get about 17.6mpg in the citu.

i don’t. I’m cramped in this Cascadia. Told my company to put me in a Volvo or Kenworth. Had a 579 before they pulled it for trade in and stuck me in this thing
