We're beginning to find common ground here my friend. This whole debate, and the poison injected into it, is by groups and organizations with an agenda. Be it financial gain or pure old fashion hate, which never goes out of style over the history of the US.
Most, if not all of us, wouldn't know an illegal if they saw one standing on the corner. Although some assume that all brown skinned people are Mexico and here illegally.
You are correct, it is politics. But don't put the corruption in Mexico alone. It is just as prevalent in DC as in DF. It is just hidden better.
As far as illegals voting? I don't know about that. Most illegals want to stay under the radar, work and not cause trouble. Voting is not high on their list of priorities.
And in Texas, you have to show your voters registration card at your precinct. And you cannot get a motor voter registration or a license unless you can show proof of birth (citizenship)
I'm sure groups such as ACORN have attempted to sign or signed illegals to vote, but I seriously doubt, the illegals followed through.
That's just another thing the extremists throw at us, the fear, that we're losing our country, to make us dance to their agenda.

I agree, there is plenty of corruption in D.C.
We don't have cops pulling us over and asking for our wallets though......yet.....
There are some groups here that ensure illegals get to vote...maybe not using their real names but believe me...they are voting.....
Any legal document such as a "Green Card", TWIC, Drivers Lic. can be had for a fee in L.A.'s MacArthur Park......
There are people in government that are unscrupulous and will sell-out.....and that is how the fake documents find thier way to the streets..
Even our Border Patrol has had some issues as of late as well...seems that some of the officers were smuggling in some illegals....
The truth that most Americans refuse to acknowledged is we need the "illegals" to work our fields......How many citizens are willing to work in the hot sun?
And those jobs may be out as well....California's "forced" drought.....but that is being discussed on another thread.... -
You see, I don't agree with the sentiment that there are no such things as jobs American's won't do.
On occasion, I have to haul cowhides down to the border. Stinking, nasty, wet, dripping hides, that are shaken out by Mexican workers, who are drenched in cow juice (jugo de vaca) salted, folded and palletized. Millions of flies hovering around the tables on hot summer days and the smell that would gag a maggot.
The kill line in meat packing and chicken plants. Ever seen one? Nasty work!
Stoop labor in the fields under a hot sun? Not this white boy! Although the Mexicans that pull onions in the fields in south Texas can make a $150 a day and sleep in their beds at night.
Wanna flip burgers? Not me, and apparently not America's teens as an after school job. Stop in the McD's on the Ct turnpike or any other place.
America's lost it work ethic it seems over the generations. Kids come out of school and expect to start at the top, not get their hands dirty.
Others expect companies to support them cradle to grave. Those days are over.
Employees and unions refuse to concede in a recession even though it means loss of jobs, and when the job losses occur, they blame NAFTA, OBAMA or the Mexicans.
We need to learn to take responsibility for our actions and quit placing blame where it doesn't belong.
I'm not talking specifically about those on this board. We seem to have some pretty level headed people ( or on the ball mods), but society as a whole. And people need to learn to think for themselves, and not let others put thoughts into their heads.
I'm a Conservative, strange as that may seem. But I am not conservative as some seem to think conservatism is.
I look at an issue, weigh both sides, research the issue and then decide my position. That is conservatism.Working Class Patriot and rlmichael09 Thank this. -
America has enough white meth addicts who could be put to work folding cow hides instead of smoking dope all day and collecting cans and stealing copper wiring at night.
Problem is, labor contractors would rather hire a Mexican who they see as beneath them and easy to boss around rather than a fellow white person even if that white person is a social degenerate. -
You're absolutely correct. Problem is, you can offer them a job but you can't force them to work.
Remember the ICE raids on the packing house in Iowa last year? I forget the name. But it shut the largest kosher packing house in the US down for months and practically destroyed the community.
The packinghouse reached out to communities across the midwest, as far a Amarillo Texas. To homeless shelters, rescue missions, etc. The contracted with labor contractors. They bussed in rum dums from these locations and in less than two weeks, they were all demanding their wages and a bus ticket back home.
The work was too hard. They preferred the streets and the shelters to an honest days work.
Go figure -
You got any links or other sources for that claim? -
Immigration raid leaves damaging mark on Postville, Iowa.
In the Shadow of the Postville, Iowa Raid
Postvile becoming 'almost a ghost town'

They also brought in Somali (Muslim refugees) (Remember Black Hawk Down) and natives of the pacific island of Palau. The Somali's demanded paid "prayer time" and other concessions and the Palau islanders, simply gave up and found better work elsewhere.
I'm still looking for the links to the stories about the homeless being bussed to Postville. It was in relation to the two staffing agencies mentioned above. As I remember, it was in the Amarillo paper a few months after the raids. Or, you can do the search yourself. I'll look further as time permits

I'm somewhat familiar with the jewish kosher meat packing plant that had a meth lab being operated in it.
What I have not heard before is the claim that the owners of the plant had attempted to hire residents of homeless shelters and the like before they "resorted" to illegal labor. -
I guess you did not read the article or even know what ICE is.Prof.Gringo Thanks this.
