An Open Invitation

Of course WE do, however i do remember a few years back when americans were offended by a movement to make spanish our national language. apparently you missed that....?

we all come from immagrants to this continent (except for the native americans) yet you don't hear of anyone wanting to change our national language to celtic, chinese, japanese, russian, chek, etc....and so on.....so why is it the people from mexico come here and want to fly their mexico flag, and change our language????

it is a concern of many americans, how can you say it serves little purpose? those of us who do not speak any other language but english, fear they could be discussing a terrrorist attact, or the take over of our country....how would we know any different.? i think it is ok to speak your own language, but do so in the privacy of your own home. if you are in public, then please speak the national language. 911 has made us guarded, and folks should understand that, but it seems they come here with no respect for the american people. not all are like this, but many are. in the town of logansport indiana we deal with this every day. tyson foods has been the culpret in hiring more mexican than american in that town. the town is being takin over by mexicans and people resent it. example: cinco de mayo is the 5th of may, the day mexico celebrates its independence....so why are they holding cinco de mayo celebrations in june/july?? we celebrate our independence on the 4th of july ONLY.

maybe you do not see what alot of americans are seeing and are upset about and have every right to be. we feel threatened by these people. they get our jobs here, and there, our women.......they want to change our language to theirs, they are taking over our towns, flying the mexican flags, having mexican celebrations.............they do not come here to be american.......it looks like they are coming here to over take us.

 

our govt is said to be making the down payment and first 6 mos payments for mexican drivers to obtain new trucks. these brand new trucks are being retrieved from being stripped and abandoned. and tell me why dayton trucking is taking their junk trucks all the way to the border?????????????? supposidly to be "recycled". i spoke with a retired trucker who was doing this retrieve thing as a once in awhile thing.....it has become a full time job for him. these brand new trucks are being stripped of everything they can and the rest is left by the wayside. can anyone tell me why?

tyson does pork as well, and i can tell you in logansport indiana if a mexican and an american were to apply for a job at tyson's, the mexican will get the job. INS has raided that place many times and they are still on tyson about hiring illegals. many residents of logansport have applied to tyson to go unhired. unless you are a mexican, have a mexican boyfriend, child or link........you ARE passed over. They call logansport "little mexico". And making spanish the national language was all over the news. This is America. All are welcomed if they follow the correct way of becoming american......other immigrants come here and conform to the American ways.....why cant the people from mexico do the same??? I am all for people having a better life and dont care where they come from, but i dont want this country to become a 3rd world country. if they want to come here and be american....fine....leave mexico.. in mexico.

 

I am an American. I love my country. My forefathers fought and died to make her for all. My uncles fought for her freedom and my father and cousins guarded her home shores. The pledge to our flag ends in "with liberty and justice for all", her colors are red, white and blue. if you are going to fly your flag, fly ours too.

 

you do make a good point..does lady liberty standing in the harbor mean anything to the mexicans? ask the irish immigrant what she means to them, or the italian. no one should forget their ethnic origins by any means. but they dont come here and try to change her either. they respect america. and they love her. mexicans are #### good workers, i will grant you that. but we have americans who are just as good. i for one. my father, his father and fathers before. we have gardened, share cropped, tended fields, raised and butchered livestock, plucked chickens etc.....there is good and bad in all. there is a right way to do things, and a wrong way. it just seems alot of the mexicans coming here dont care to do it the right way. maybe they just dont know how.
