An open question to the staff

I don't know which thread it was in, but if a thread gets too contentious, the mods have the option of approving each post before it appears in public. What happens is that the posts are collected and won't appear in public until they have been given the good housekeeping seal of approval. We don't use the technique very much, but for some strange reason, it gets used more in the "politics" section than it does elsewhere.

And rest assured, it is not edited for it's content or opinion, merely for commentary, language, and invective that is against the rules of decorum and would cause a problem. Despite rumors to the contrary sometimes, we are not a gang of "Post Nazi's"....LOL!

 

I've been having issues all night. Could be the same thing causing it.

Although mine have been "zero" something. And I know it's not too short, cuz one of the post was a couple of paragraphs long.

 

J-Mac, I did moderate one of your posts this AM. We now have a new anti-spam deal set up where certain keywords will trigger an auto-moderation. The moderation means the post will not show IF you post e-mails in post, certain spammer keywords, etc., in an attempt to STOP spammers from hounding us. I can't remember what it was with yours...I think I approved it, right? It should show now, eh?

Hi, all my favorite goobers! (j/k), anyway, please do NOT use the @ symbol in posts IF you want your posts to go right through without being moderated. We have set this to auto-moderate due to the increase in spam, thanks! You CAN use the @ symbol in posts, if not an e-mail, but we will just have to approve it before it shows up. Thank a spammer near you for making your, our, lives hell.
