I'm glad your experience with that company has been positive.

My experience out of the El Paso hub was anything but positive. Assigned truck smelled like urine and the operations manager refused to have the truck cleaned properly even when notified of the smell before departure.

Trying to find a decent empty trailer at their Kankakee lot was also close to impossible.

My assigned truck was in the shop 3 out of the 7 days of my first week for a headlight issue, which I spent going back and forth from Kankakee to some facility in Michigan- basically riding the 90/94 corridor during construction and rush hour almost every time. I driver I met the first day there told me he was quitting for another company and how impossible it was to avoid having an accident driving that route every day.

Why that instead of the OTR promised and hired for? Because AN Webber was negotiating their contract with a customer at the time and reserved OTR loads for their senior drivers.

When I spoke to the manager in El Paso [not operations], and told them Chicago regional is not what I applied for- he told me to clean out my truck in Kankakee and take a bus home.

The operations manager did eventually step in and find me a load back to El Paso.

$.42/mile is way below the national average, especially for a company based out of the Chicago area. They are just poaching El Paso drivers for the low pay they think we deserve.
