Got the right turns down and was let out on the road bobtail today. Not to bad and was fun. Tomorrow they are introducing the 90 degree alley dock. And the instructors are talking about grabbing 3 of us, hook up a 48' trailer and go down the road. I'm hoping that the ride is smoother with a trailer then it has been bobtail.

One week down, three to go before I get my full CDL license instead of this Instruction Permit. The alley docks are something that I'll have to work on now but I think I understand what I need to do now.

Went on the road again Thursday and didn't have any problems shifting. 3rd to 9th without a skip or grind. Did miss once shifting from 9th down to 5th when I started getting into a hurry. One thing I have learned already is to give yourself lots of room to slow down and stop, these rigs will not stop like my Pontiac. :biggrin_25519:

Now that I have gotten thru my first week I need to see what is out there. Do have a pre-hire with Werner, Trans Am and Roehl but would like to expand my options. The class I'm taking is 160 hours accredited thru Wayne Country Community College of Michigan which I'm finding limits my start up choices. Any suggestions?
I'm single with no kids, no credit cards, and no house or car payments so I'm willing to go where I'm needed the most.
