    Yes many companies prefer to keep the epa at a distance.

    What comes from coal mining that can have such effects on the water in the creeks and rivers….?

    Here’s the issue at hand.
    2024 Cummins Inc. Vehicle Emission Control Violations Settlement | US EPA
    Cummins didn’t disclose some of the software features plus said software could double as defeat devices. Since they’re the OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) that makes them liable!
    Basically their own version of Dieselgate!
    Our company had to pay a fine to California state EPA because the older trucks we ran there were no longer California EPA compliant.
    All of the mentioned older trucks used Cummins ISX-15 engines!
    They’ve since been long retired and sold off.

    Coal slag comes from the furnaces during production of steel if my memory serves me, but is not a direct source from the mining process itself. But yes it can have ill effects on our health….
