I've gone several weeks before with no calls.
The thing is, 90% of the calls come from 3 companies. If they shut one down, it takes them a bit to start up again.
And they just keep calling…

“we even have backhauls for you!”
me- “what is a backhaul?”
#######: “back haul means you haul our freight loaded both ways!”
Me: it was a rehtorical question, take your cheap freight and stick it *click*RefMata, Another Canadian driver and Concorde Thank this. -
Megacorp (who I still run for) did the 2AM check call.
When I didnt answer, they called right back busting my "do not disturb" with a second call in 2 min.
They haven't done it since.... I screamed at them.Another Canadian driver Thanks this. -
looks like it has to say spam or scam on caller ID would be my guess. I got 2 today for some sweepstakes. No name. Just a number.

I got a call today by one. First started talking to him and let him do all his reading. Then asked a couple questions and had him hooked. Then I decided to go quite for about 5 mins. He kept trying and trying to get me to talk. Finally after about 7 mins he hangs up and calls me back for it all to start over again. HA HA HARefMata, Another Canadian driver, larry2903 and 1 other person Thank this.

If I get a call by an actual
Person and I’m driving or have time to
Mess with them I play along as long as I can keep them on the phone and then tell
Them “my parole officer said I caint buy nuthin else over the phone or internet “RefMata, Another Canadian driver and Siinman Thank this. -
Almost every phone has a setting to silence callers not in your directory.
If you get a incoming call from
Someone that’s not in your directory of saved numbers , it pops up on the screen but doesn’t vibe or ring .Another Canadian driver and Siinman Thank this. -
Most of us would probably do that if we didn't need people to contact us. Like a loan or whatever.
And there probably aren't many of us with a second number. -
The calls still come in and still
Go to
Voice mail when you don’t answer .
If an actual human calls and has something important to say. They will
Leave a message .
And it’s easy to turn on and off ,
If I’m at a job site for
A few days and have vendors and contractors and delivery drivers calling , I turn off the “silence unknown callers “ and answer a hundred robocalls so I can talk to one vendor .
I’ve gotten five robo calls just so far today .
All silenced so I didn’t even know they were incoming .
if I get a silenced call and they leave a voice mail, I always check it .
99.9% of the time it’s a robo call .
my father was getting so
Many robo calls at his land line at home that he got one of those blockers answers and then requires the caller to press two for the call to be received or something like that .
if it’s a real human they will just press two
And the call continues on through and rings .
But if the caller doesn’t press two , the phone doesn’t even ring and you never know you’ve missed a call from a scumbag scammer robocallerAnother Canadian driver Thanks this.
