Hello to all my fellow truckers old and new and a big welcome to those of you who are new to this wonderful industry and career. I have been trucking for about 27 years. I have had many ups and downs with many companies through out this time and I can truly say that with any trucking company the key to your personal success is very simple and basic. #1 A positive attitude is essential. When you introduce yourself to your dispatcher(this was the title of years gone by) or better known today as your Driver Manager, be dressed appropriately,Be neat and clean and show respect. That First impression is the Lasting impression. If you are new to the industry do not expect the best of everything. Be patient. Your turn will come. Just continue to do the best that you can. This will not go unnoticed. This also holds true for new commers not to the industry but just to the company. So guys hang in there and think before you write those nasty and/ or negative comments. #2 always run legal. If you are given a load that can't be legally completed just say so. It will be removed from you and assigned else where. #3 Be considerate and respectful to all (office personal and maintainence) and you will experience the best that any company has to offer. Be wary of what you hear from other drivers old or new. If you have questions ask them of a reliable source to prevent yourself from forming a wrong and possibly detrimental attitude toward your company. We are all human. This includes the drivers, mechanics, and office personal. Because of this fact we humans are prone to a way of thinking and usually unspoken as this statement suggests,"ok. You screw me and I'll screw you back". This is where that positive attitude and consideration should over ride. All will be fine. JUST DO YOUR JOB! Hope I didn't offend anyone. See ya down the road my friends, over & out.
