++1 on Trucker Path Pro. RoadBreakers is another good one. It's focused on overnight parking and has lots of smaller, out of the way places you won't find in the truck stop guide or Trucker Path that are available after the truckstops and rest areas are full--or when you need a spot close to your appointment.

And it's not that time of year yet, but many states have "511" road conditions apps. And a good weather app is handy, I like Intellicast Weather but there are lots of them out there.

Not sure if you'll be cross-country OTR or more regional or local, but if you will roam far and wide, don't discount basic web sites for valuable information. Lots of state traffic cams out there, some have mobile apps, some are better suited to full web browsing experience.

Wintry Wx is going to be a chief concern soon, especially if you travel cross country. Bookmark the various states road conditions sites.

NOAA has changed their web site over the summer, and my Winter Wx forecast link that has worked for the last 6 years no longer works and I can no longer find this information, but hopefully it will be back up before the early snows begin.

But for now you can try here but it's now as robust as it used to be in terms of user-selectable options. And, it's buggy with inoperable links but hopefully they will correct the issues soon.

Here are my TOP 10 Android apps that I can't live without.
I'll rate them in order of importance to me! ( your needs may vary)

    :)
1)MOST IMPORANT IS the POF APP ( chat with ladies who meet me at truck stops, sometimes bringing homemade food and Mod cut);)
    2) Copilot ( gets me where I need to go on time, Not as important as POF app)
    3) Big Road (elogs that are legal, compliant and I can edit)
    4) Trucker Path (for where I want to stop )
    5) Fleet one mobile ( finds me the best fuel prices on my trip which is important as I'm an O/O.. still not as important as #1 POF app)
    6) Drivewyze ( my scale bypass app used from my phone, I get green light at 80% of scales)
    7) Google Maps ( I use in satellite view to see best way to enter or exit a shipper/cosignee)
8 ) FastScanner( for scanning and emailing documents/BOL, so I can get paid)
9)TruckerTools (great app for finding trucker related things)
    10) Netflix ( for when I failed on POF app and have no company for the night)
