CT, That androot file contained a virus according to microsoft security when i tried to look at it on my laptop. trojan unix rootkit virus. Is this because i tried to look at the file on my laptop? Or is it a virus? Im not a computerologist, so alot of this stuff is over my head. What i was attempting to do was download the file onto my desktop, then was going to install on my phone with the usb/phone cable.
Any root program is going to be viewed as a virus because of what it does. It is taking control of your phone and making modifications. If this was happening and you did not understand that it was doing this then it would be a virus.
If this happens just turn off your anti virus software and it will download it ut to root your phone I suggest you use the simple 1 click root with clockwork mod and recovery found over at xda-developers
