Ive been noticing more and more of the bigger websites are putting out there own apps now.

Qvc has a really cool one, you can actually watch them live.
NewEgg has a pretty nice one too.
of course ebay does and truck papers works ok too.

Angrybirds is ok, I couldnt get into it all that much
Scanner apps are a lot of fun
Ive been playing with Gasbuddy, but its not all that great. Really wish somebody would come out with an actual diesel fuel app.
    Weatherbug is a must have!
I have Astro as a file manager, since mine only came with ThinkFreeOffice which suks!
CLapp is a Craigslist manager is kinda cool.
Of course you gotta have Bubble, and Color Flashlight too...

Wi-Fi tether is a good one, but you need your phone rooted.

I use Pandora all the time! It's a great app!

And I've got the Tune-in radio app too! It's great so I can follow my Maple Leafs and Red Sox anywhere I am!

And of course bejeweled and tetris for when I'm bored!

    rookietrucker and Trilleth Thank this.

I have found from reading and learning about Android that "task killers" are a bigger battery killer than the apps really causing the problems. Android is pretty efficient in the way it manages apps and processes. For some reason Verizon thinks the other way, and some customer reps will install it on customers phones without even asking.

One of the apps that I use "Engadget" is one of the biggest battery killing apps you can use, at least for me. The only way I found to help it is to only let it "refresh" every couple hours or so.

The app that I use the most is "Mileage" https://market.android.com/details?id=com.evancharlton.mileage&feature=search_result You input all your information when you fuel up and it calculates all the fuel mileage numbers you want. Most of the other trucking related apps that I have tried really suck and most hardly work.

For all those pesky ads you get in the free apps you can use "adfree" that will get rid of them quick like.
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.bigtincan.android.adfree&feature=search_result Only problem is that you have to be "rooted" to do so, which is a really easily fixable one.:biggrin_25525: That or just buy the paid app and support the developer.:biggrin_25514:

Also for those with the 3g Hot Spot built in I'll post this as it's readily available online if you look.
It's worked so far on mine without any problems.

VZ is not charging me any more to use it. Now it does give me a warning when I turn it on. The usage will apply towards my data plan. I will keep a eye on my billing statement for this charge.

I have another question, on the home screen. I have apps I don't want and will not use. I deleted the files but unable to get rid of the icon. How do I get rid of the of th e icon ? Also on the home screen, you can have up to 9 pages. Well I was able to add 9 pages but can't figure out how to get rid of them. :biggrin_2559:
