Android Market Apps/Games

For Verizon and ATT&T users. To access tethering apps in the market, turn on the airplane mode and use a Wi-Fi hot spot. So far this will bypass the carriers block of apps.

 

The tethering apps being block allow you to tether without the extra charge.

Of course rooted users need not worry

 

I just bought a G2 android phone. I've already downloaded a couple of apps that I think will be helpful on the road, like the flashlight app. I'm looking for other useful apps. What's on your phone and how do you use it?

I am guessing that the Droid OS is windows based.
Therefor the need for an antivirus.
You'll never have need for an antivirus app on an iPhone

Android is java based with linux kernel and as for apps stay away from rom manager it will soft brick your phone but good apps absolute system root screenshot app setcpu if you want to overclock your phone that's only if you have a kernel that's is set high enough to do so maybe ultimate juice to save some battery life maybe that leigh truck stop app other than that I just stay rooted and run custom roms and there are always patches out there to fix the tethering blocking
