Wife just got one of these. Really nice. Has a micro sd slot on tablet. Plus on keyboard in has a sd card slot and a USB slot. With the keyboard the battery is supposed to last 16 hours. Right now she's got 64 gb of space. I'm wondering if I stick a 32gb sd and a 32 USB if it will take the 128 gb :)

The keyboard dock cost extra. Its nice feature has its own battery and a few more ports.

I posted this same question at another thread but not sure was the right one... so here it goes again... I have a very basic cell and 2 laptops. Two lines, for the cell and another for the internet Thinking about buying a Android tablet. VZ guy told me to buy a wi-fi only tablet so that I can use with a jetpack... He said I can use the jetpack with my laptops as well and will not need another line which would cost more. Wondering here... think will need to upgrade my plan to use this device and will have a 2 yr contract and will have to pay more per month anyway. And the rate will depend on the amount of data I use... I used to be on the unlimited data plan with VZ but unfortunately changed to 4 GBs:biggrin_25510: Now got 6 GBs and hope will keep it that way. Anyway, is that jetpack a good and cheaper way to get connected? What else should I know when deciding what kind of tablet to get and mobile hotspot to use with it? Any suggestion is appreciated. :biggrin_25519: BTW, Mastertech, what did you get? How do you like it?

For the more tech-savvy amongst you, you can get a pretty good deal in an android tablet if you purchase a Kindle Fire or Nook HD+. There are plenty of instructions out there to *ahem* have your way with them.

bought an Samsung 10.1 wifi only during the black Friday sales last year, traded it in at a Verizon store 3 months later for a 4G version. Really should take it on the road with me, but for now it sits at home so I can play games on it. I spent a few months debating between a Droid and the iPad before buying, from talking to the sales person, I prefer the Droid.

I've got an original Kindle Fire and I rooted it with JellyBean 4.2.. Works great for what I need. It only connects to the internet through Wi-Fi, doesn't have a camera, or microphone. Once my crApple IPhone runs out of it's contract, I plan to get an Android phone and use one of the wi-fi hotspot programs you can get for them so my Kindle will be able to access the internet from anywhere there's reception for my phone.

Then again, if I don't have access for any length of time, no worries.. Definitely not addicted to being connected to anything.

I mainly use my IPhone for playing FolkAlley or Pandora on my truck radio. Folk Alley is all Folk music and Pandora let's you create your own channels..

Both my IPhone and my Kindle have a few trucking apps on them. Gotta have UShip so I can bid on the great loads and make all that money. Thinkin 'bout findin a First Baptist Church bus and cashin in like Jarrett is doin.. Should I buy a HazMat placard for when I haul tanks full of propane inside the bus??

If you haven't seen it, check out an App called Trucker Tools. It's got about 15 little programs in it for things like finding WalMart parking lots, next rest stop, to maximizing your fuel expenditures based on your rig, route, MPG, and how much fuel you want left in the tank when you pull in to the pumps..

I haven't bought a tablet yet... but thinking about it again... for those who have one, can you click and drag using the touch screen? Can you copy/cut and paste? I would like to buy a Nextbook 8 or maybe a Google Nexus 8 but only if I can click and drag my route on Google maps to change it. Not interested in anything else. Seems no BestBuy assistant could help me with that... :biggrin_25513:
