socal, sorry it took so long to get back with a response, I have been terrible about keeping my posts going, There is a lot of live loads and unloads, but it has been about the same as Crete or Werner, I guess.
They are keeping me running lately, I got home for my 2 days and got a call from my DM saying I have a DnH tomorrow out of Salt Lake going to Washington. I really don't think I have had to sit longer than 1/2 hour waiting to get a load, and usually, I have a pre plan before I get to 90, and lately they have been decent runs (2 back to back 1200 miles). I did get stuck waiting at the bottom of Grapevine last week due to snow, but I had intended stopping at the TA for the night anyway, I just had to stop sooner than expected.

I have been running constantly up until today, I think that is not to bad considering the Flying J in Ripon is packed with drivers waiting for freight. I got a call from the wife, she is pleased with the check that I got this week.

Still doing well with Andrus. I got word yesterday that I made my mileage bonus. Still getting constant mileage. I request home time, I get home when requested. I have a Volvo truck that has a half sleeper, I think I may request to get a bigger truck, see how that goes...LOL

I asked for a larger truck on Thursday, I was told that there should be no issues, I should have my larger sleeper by the end of the month.

Slow weekend, picked up in Seattle in Friday, deliver today in Fremont. I could not find a safe haven to stop in the truckstop guide so I stayed the weekend in Dunnigan with a 100 miles to go. It's February, so I figure freight will pick up in March. No complaints really, I am sitting less than I did with that other company I worked for. I did get a call from Gordon, They are offering me a few more cents per mile and I can take my 9 year old son with me after he turns 10 in Nov. Strong selling point. Andrus requires the age of 16. So far the only thing I don't like about Andrus.

I guess it was bound to happen, I have had 2 disappointing incidents with Andrus back to back, not major issues by any means, but frustrating just the same. First, I get a qualcomm on a trailer that was supposed to be picked up, I got a trailer number and went to pick it up, it was not there and my 14 was ticking down, I really did not want to be stuck in Fremont, CA with no place to park, so when the shipper showed up with a trailer, I grabbed it, and sent in my departure call, I got a note back saying I cannot take that trailer, it is not assigned to me, so I checked with the guy that dropped it, and he said that is the only trailer that they had, so I told my DM and he acted frustrated (almost as if it was MY fault) that he had to change my load information even though the trailer he said was there actually wasn't. Then I pick up another load, everything seemed to be going well, then I get to the receiver, and they said I was 211 hours early for my appointment time...now I do not blame Andrus for this, but my DM did not seem to be in any hurry to rectify the situation. These are minor, frustrating, but minor issues just the same, if these are the biggest problems I have with ANY company I work for I will be a happy driver....

As you know, it doesn't matter where you work, things happen that tend to drive you nuts. If you let it. Sounds like you have a handle on it though.

Did I talk to you up in Pilot Rock picking up woodchips? I can't remember the day, but I talked to an Andrus driver in a silver Prostar, I made the comment I wish I had got a bigger truck.
My week this week was a little light as well, but I got home today and go back out Monday, I had to be home for Guard this weekend.
