I have to agree. I asked every ARROW driver I met on the road how they liked the company. Everyone had praise, so I hired on. It was a nightmare from orientation. Stayed 4 months and quit. then Dec 22, 2009 they closed there doors stranding over 600 trucks with no fuel and no way home! Take it with a grain of salt.

Its been since 2008 that the remarks by ronnieb67 and others about ANDRUS TRANSPORTATION were entered. I live not far from them and because of the posts on this and other forums; personal word of mouth referrals from drivers I trust, and the reputation as a 'Scalper Company' that they have with even drivers I don't trust, I never went to them for a job. Rather, I would travel 300 miles to Salt Lake to apply for work. But as luck would have it, I needed local work when my better half had an operation. So I went and applied at Andrus and what do you know they hired me. I had avoided this company like the plague but now I was willing to jump thru their hoops for a paycheck. Their exotic pyramid scheme-type pay system with all the bonuses and penalties meant that the promised $0.365 cpm could actually be met two or three time a year if you really worked and focused on never idling your truck for heat or A/C, stopping your engine at red lights, and over-looking the 2 to 3 weeks out while just a few hundred miles from your house. Yes there are some very senior drivers who take their trucks home - 2002 KW's and such. To anyone who is offended by people blowing the whistle on bad companies who disregard compassion, consideration, and concern for drivers I have a big raspberry waiting for you. This is the first Trucking Company that had me take an illegal load across poe scales because 'chances are that I will get away with it- and this is how you do it..' . That load showed me that Andrus is not the company to build a future on but if you just need some windshield time - go and take your chances. Just do it knowing that house odds are in their favor and they are plumb arrogant about knowing it.

Aladdin Sane looks like he or she has an ignorance problem. Lack of experience and living in a daze can do that to you. Tsk Tsk Tsk.

Sure - check out Jamson1 and what he had to say about Andrus. Andrus is the logical poster boy for companies that suck.

Ibrollin, how long ago ddi you work for them? I am working for them now and they have been more than fair. Brand new truck, trailers have been in decent shape, better than most I pulled working for Crete. I have my preplan sent to me before I drop the load I am under, and I am constantly moving.

I work for a great company. They took out $25 a week until it hit $500. Because of lazy disgusting drivers that don't take care of the equipment, so they don't get burned. The drivers that quit and left the trucks in good shape, got their money back. Do not judge them all.

Who said that he quit?

I work for Andrus for one month in 2004. I bounced between four crappy trucks and a bunch of motel rooms, before an engine finally blew while pulling a set of doubles to Salt Lake City out of St. George. The next day I was informed by Andrus that the problem wasn't with their equipment, it was with my attitude. I already had a rental car waiting to drive back to Seattle. These guys are a bunch of LDS Boy Scouts. Don't waste your time with this crew of imbeciles.
