The noise from the collision avoidance system telling you that you are following to close is never ending.
Constant BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP, all #### day, and the thing is, your not following to close..
A vehicle passes you, and comes into your lane 100 yards ahead of you. BEEP, BEEP, BEEP BEEP!
You come up on a vehicle, a quarter mile ahead of you, BEEP, BEEP,BEEP BEEP..You back off to make the noise stop, another car comes in front of you. BEEP, BEEP,BEEP,BEEP..
ALL DAY, ITS NEVER ENDING, ITS ANNOYING, AND ITS TO #### LOUD.
Walmart, adjust the sensitivity down on this crap, and turn the volume down. It means nothing if it going off constantly, all day long. It's just frustrating to the driver, and making him agitated.
I've talked to some drivers who are considering wearing earplugs, because they can't take it anymore.
My God, no wonder, drivers are leaving in droves. It's like torture driving one of these new Freightliners.
BEEP, BEEP, BEEP, BEEP, BEEP, BEEP, BEEP, BEEP, BEEP, BEEP, BEEP, BEEP BEEP, BEEP, BEEP, BEEP....
BTW, the 2015 thru 2019 Walmart trucks with the collision avoidance were acceptable, if they beeped, YOU WERE FOLLOWING TO CLOSE. These 2020 and 2021 trucks need to be looked at and adjusted..
Annoying Freightliners BEEP, BEEP, BEEP!!!

Then slow down to 20 mph under the speed limit like Walmart apparently wants you to do, and you won't have that problem anymore.

So glad our trucks don't have any of that.

For now, I'm going to bid on a different program, to get back into an older truck.
These Freightliners are just way to annoying to spend 70 hours a week in.
If they don't tone this nonsense down by the time I have to get back in a new truck, I'll probably leave, and buy my own truck.
I have been thinking about this for a while, have enough money saved to pay cash for a good used truck.
Was hoping to stay with Wally until I retired, but the constant annoying beeping with the trucks, and the way safety is treating drivers like they are in kindergarten, is making me think about other options.mxpx148, T.Rucker, Trucker61016 and 6 others Thank this. -
