True but let me throw you a bone to chew on......

You're co. now and you do "x" work on "x" run that appears to be your choice. In 99% of the companies I know of with a mix of co. tractors with o/o's, the co. tractors get better and the choice work for obvious reasons. It sounds to me that you're banking on the fact that if you buy your own and put it on that you will get the runs you're on now.

    Is this the case?

That's always a possibility but then it would only be better than they're saying, not worse. So if he's happy and it's better than anywhere else he's worked, it really doesn't matter all that much.

    Back to the question.
    Revenue is relative to costs.
For me, it always comes down to my revenue after my fuel cost. I see all other costs as fixed overhead.

Yes I would be planning on same runs. I run with o/o weekly who pull same loads and seem happy. We have 12 co trucks, and 40 o/o. Pay 76% leased to them theiir trailers, 85% own authority and trailer, and will advance fuel.

The kEY to success in this business is 'income' and 'assets'

If your assets are paid off....Your working smart.
