Conestoga drivers do that all the time. When I pulled flatbed, i would see conestoga drivers get a coil put in and not chain a thing. They just pull the tarp back and keep it moving. DOT needs to look closer at those conestoga drivers

Who’s joking? I’ve hauled the stuff in dry vans for Western Express and many a time before the stuff is even put in the trailer the shipper would check the trailers(given the company’s reputation for s***** trailers at the time) for ANY HOLES in roof, floors or walls of the trailers. Any found and the trailer was automatically refused and had to go get fixed!;)

I hope that driver doesn't come on TTR asking our help with finding a new job.
I wonder how many other loads like that he's hauled and gotten away with.

You don't have to tie stuff down with those trailers, they are just like a van or maybe that was you don't have to tarp.

    Aamcotrans and FerrissWheel Thank this.

Saw a flat bedder right at the I 30 / 635 exit in Dallas this morning that had his load of rebar go through his cab. Luckily for him, it was on the deck and only ruined his sleeper.
