BP Station 426 Westinghouse Blvd, Charlotte, NC 28273

$3000 boot charge, $1500 tow, paid this morning.

Damaged the trailer and are refusing to release it until we send someone in to make the repair.

Got to love having trucks. LOL

Need the trailer released before anything.

Didn't take the truck, just the trailer. He was hooked up.

Well, it's a O/O and they told him it would cost him more if they took both. They know the company will pay for the trailer, don't want a truck
that they won't get paid for. GPS show's he never dropped the trailer until it was towed.

You used to get 3hrs free.... I think its like $15-20 to park here. I haven't parked there in years...... and parked I mean just to walk across the street to the jack in the box, never stay there, or any other truck stop for that matter.

    cke Thanks this.

Around Charlotte and Concord, North Carolina they’ve been running these tow / boot scams in different areas for years. I used to deliver years ago to a cold food storage place. I can’t remember what it was called. You would pull up there and you had to park on the street until they came out to assign you a dock. A guy would drive around in a car. The same guy would tell you to park in a parking lot across the street. At a couple of different warehouse parking lots that didn’t belong to them. It was always the middle of the night. And then a tow truck company would come through and slap boots on drivers trucks or hold them ransom , demanding payment because you had parked somewhere you weren’t supposed to. turned out the actual warehouse we were delivering to, their workers were in on it with the tow company and taking kickbacks. They would rake in thousands of dollars a night. Disgusting. I never heard what the end of it was, but it went on for quite some time before those involved got caught. They’re probably just doing it again somewhere else now.
