Another Carrier Closing

Been hearing some rumblings of another well known carrier possibly going under. A caller to one of the trucking radio shows Monday night, informed the host that he was "gonna have to find him a new job". When pressed he said that the company he was working for had announced they were closing the doors at the end of January.
He gave no specifics regarding who he was working for only to say that they were well known and had "alot of shiny black Pete's and were out of Iowa".
For many of you, that probably narrows it down quite a bit. If any of you have any further insight or information, I'm sure there are many people out here that would like to know. Particularly, those that may be considering applying to drive one of those "shiny black Pete's".
It appears that if true, they are going to handle things much more professionally than what occured when Arrow abruptly closed there doors.
Again, any further info would be much appreciated.

 

I've gotten the impression that they've told their drivers. If true, I think they are making every effort to do things the right way. TMC always has come off as a class outfit and if this is indeed true, I think they'll exit the same way.
