TMC a few months ago went into one of my main out bond load customers and cut the rate to arond .80 cents a mile just for there longer runs just to get the loads when at the time the loads were paying around $1.30 a mile and thats not rummor its fact not that i want people to lose there jobs but i hope TMC and a few more big flat bed companys go out.

Tom Mickow has been turning over in his grave for years with the way "TRUCKING MIGHTY CHEAP" turned out.Don't believe the rumors, they come and go. Tom was a great guy a good trucker and fun to run with. "TO MANY COWBOYS" has been very good at turning a profit even in hards time but it might have caught up with them like it did for Crouse Cartage.

And will the truth please stand up.....and come forward

I drive for TMC and haven't heard a thing, other than rumors on here. If the filed bankruptcy, it would make the news in Des Moines and in the truckers magazines. I would like to think they are class company and do the right thing, not like Arrow, which was a really bad deal.

To answer just a couple more of the comments on TMC, 1st the drivers at TMC have the choice of being paid mileage or percentage. I doubt TMC would be putting in a bid of 80cpm on any lane. They may take a load at that + surcharge to move a truck from a bad area however they sure wouldn't bid anything at that rate. That was what Arrow was doing for the last 6 months before they went under and the sort of thing that Western Express is doing now.
Just my opinion and that is based from having a couple of friends who driver there, not from some dude on the squawk box. -
There hauling loads out of this one shipper every day for around .80 a mile and its not rummor its a fact i know because i know the guy in the office and not just that shipper but alot more i know of in my area all less than $1.00 a mile and no surgharge i know this because i used to haul out of the same places and dont any more because i cant do it for what they are doing it for they might be a good company to work for but there rate cuttters plain and simple just like most of the other big companys out there plus they screwed up some of the inbound lumber rates because they have so many trucks in the area.
