Sounds like a fancy version of U Ship
Dominick253, Lepton1 and RGN Thank this. -
I'm a little ignorant of the USA CDL rules. If their are endorsements like doubles, triples, tankers, etc why isn't there one for open deck/heavy haul?
-
...And a transmission restriction.
Give it time. -
Things like this keep happening and there will be.
MJ1657 Thanks this. -
More fuel for those entrenched in the neverending quest to stupidproof the trucking industry....Roberts450, truckdad, TripleSix and 3 others Thank this.

Oregon has some

But would most of you WANT a heavy haul endorsement?
I don't remember the thread, but someone said if you get 3 OSOW fines, then your company shouldnt get to do OSOW. What do you think should be done to help keep the riff-raff away? -
I'm pretty sure there already is, at least in TN.
It's been a long time ago but a friend of mine works at the local gas department. One of his coworkers went to take his CDL driving test in a automatic truck. The instructor told him he could take the test in that truck but he would be issued a CDL with a automatic trans restriction. He went back and got a manual trans truck to test with.Dominick253 Thanks this. -
As for the automatic restriction, that is mandated by the feds.
As for an endorsement for open deck, it would have to be a hands on type of test. Written tests get pasted all over the internet with the answers.
