A big radio thats loud with good ears is a want that most men have...Its like buying a 4 cylinder old mustang from the 80s vs the latest supersnake...Both work but one will perform better and make you feel better....Its just a man thing to have MORE POWER ala tim the tool man.

Wonder if it has a switch where you can turn the amp section off and just run it as a dual final radio like Harddrive does with the 98vhp?

Lets just say any big radio is tuned to sound clear and max settings..Yes its life will be possibly be shorted but only if cranked top high by user all day....Up to him to decide how much power to run it at..So in my mind i say crankem up to max and leavem..Let the owner decide how much power to run them at..If he blows it up,$$ outta his pocket and into a tech's

You mean that POS Mustang II they used to drive in the tv show Charlies Angels. I have a box with 5 mosfets that I can hookup in my F150 and it does about 300 pep watts, but I will only use it if skip is rolling, barefoot 99v2 is just fine for talking to the locals.
