Here's where you might run into a problem, after the fact. You get empty, go to line 1 and BT home. Then 2 days later, you get dispatched from home and start your log there. So, a week later, your friendly neighborhood trooper inspects your log 2000 miles down the road and sees a "gap" between where you got empty and where you started your next page. He says to you, how did you get from here to there? You better be able to convince him, right ?

Im going to flag it in the remarks section from this time to this time I drove off duty from here to here on pc
American Trucker -
Our elogs have a line 5 wich is used for driving/not on duty. So if we take the tractor home we can use it to bobtail around town for personal use without it counting on or 14/11. However, in order to get home in the first place you have to have enough hours to drive there on line 3 and you have to drive on line 3 when returning to terminal for work. So basically you have to have enough time left at the end of the day to bobtail home then you can use it for personal time.

authorizing use for personal conveyance............
