Hi Navyguy... Glad to hear that our posts as well as Baritone's videos have helped out another future driver in making a career choice. Thanks for your Service to our great Country... I'm in a USMC Family as well... My sister in law leaves for Chicago for Navy in June. Hope to see you around. Keep us posted

First let me say "thank you for your service"! My son is in Afganistan and appreciate what you all do!

Glad you enjoyed the video's - they are just me goofing around more than anything. Give Millis a call when you retire - we would love to have you as part of the team I am sure.

Yes this is it. I was about 5 car lenghts behind when he hit the bridge which followed with a huge explosion that looked to be at least 30 feet in the air. This same channel has a pic of the wreck from the West bound side and you can see my truck.

I stopped and grabbed my extinguisher as did another driver on the Westbound side - but there was nothing we could do. The fire was too intense. I couldnt even tell where the cab of the truck was as it appears it just broke apart when he hit the bridge and then the explosion. I saw nothing the resembled a cab and couldnt locate the driver in the wreckage. With in a few minutes the State Police made us all go back to our trucks since the trailer was marked as "Hazmat"!

As I was being interviewed by the Trooper - he told me they were looking for him for a while and were trying to catch up to him due to many complaints about his driving.

I asked the Trooper if he was ejected since I couldnt find him and he said - he didnt know- they too hadn't found him. However later in the morning - the corner did find him.

It was very hard to witness. I spent 12 years in the Fire Service and EMS but I was always there after it happened. Never as it happened.

I took a lot of video - but I wont post out of respect for this driver and his family.

Not trying to be disrespectful to that driver in anyway, but I swear some of the worst drivers I see out there are they guys pulling doubles and triples. They're constantly hammering away, weaving in and out, riding bumpers, etc.. I see them I back off and let them get around me.

Quick update...Left Trenton Thur. coming off hometime. Took a load to Salisbury, NC. D/H'd to Eden to pick up a load to take to Mountain Top, PA. In the interim ran a trlr and scaled it out for Marco and Mark at Eden. Delivered in Mountain Top yesterday (Sat) picked up there as well. Currently sitting in Richfield waiting for dispatch to employ me. Has been a good running couple of days. I hear beeeeeeeeeps now.

    Be safe out there!

Woke up in Richfield this morning to snow flurries, wth? Delivered to Beaver Dam then d/h to Sussex where I sit now waiting for dock assignment to take a load to NC.

I bought one of those little ovens to cook with in the truck. I've only made chili with it thus far but it worked pretty good. Nice to have a hot meal rather than a sandwich. If any of you guys have one and have any simple meal suggestions, I would appreciate it.

Be safe out there and roll hard!

What did you buy? I have a few cook books just for crock pot's etc. I'll gladly share. I have made some great meals this winter.

Spent the last few days researching summer time meals and just got a new GF Grill. Also got a couple of the disposable grills so at night I can actually cook out on the grill. I really try to stay out of truck stops if at all possible. Not to mention it saves a ton of money.
