After you get approval from your dispatcher, a couple of possibilities for you would be drop trailer at a secure place near your house or drop the trailer at the terminal and bobtail home. Get with your dispatcher after you get your own truck and see what he says.
I myself keep my car at the Trenton terminal and park my truck there. -
Me too. I feel like I live that movie "Office Space" every day!
-
Forgot third option, take the whole dang thing home. Lol! Figures im one of the few that have a parking lot size driveway and live outside of freight lanes.

I know the guy that was assigned as my trainer lived in Tupper Lake in Adirondack area and he took truck/trailer home with him. But he said he worked a deal where he stayed out 6-8 wks at a time.

Ya that must be nice Sully...I live 2hrs from the weedsport terminal and no place to park where I live, so I guess I will be driving my car to the terminal...My brother lives about 15 mins from my house so maybe i can get permission to park it there....

Got a load from Brecksville, OH to Eau Claire, WI. I delivered it earlier today. The plan was to get me over here by BRF so I can get truck serviced and inverter installed FINALLY. But got a message when I hit ready for dispatch and dispatcher asked me if I could pick up a load from Newpage in Wisconsin Rapids and run it to Richfield terminal, then pick up load in the a.m. and run it to City Brewery in LaCrosse. Then he would get me to BRF to get my things done. I said sure, you're the boss.
Well I was led to believe it was a drop n hook. I get here at Newpage and the lady tells me "order is not ready, we're going to use your trailer". Friggin wonderful. I'm sure I will be here at least a couple of hours if not longer. Richfield is 140 miles from here, 14 runs out at 9:30. I don't think I will be making it tonight. Which could very well screw up my run tomorrow to LaCrosse. Which could lead to him putting me on another load going the opposite direction, thus me not getting my inverter installed. If that happens I'm going to be one upset cookie. Let's hope for the best. -
I'll hope with you!
