Another Millis Experience

My intentions were to get a shower, but I changed my mind once I saw the showers. Plus I was out of hours for the day.

 

Sitting at the T/A in Perrysburg, OH for my 10+ break, lol. I only had 6 hrs avail to run today. Picked up a load yesterday going 1100 miles to Minnesota for 0900 delivery tomorrow. Knew I couldn't make it so ran as far as I could and going to do a swap with another driver. It sux and I feel bad because I could not take or make the run. Sure would have liked to get those miles, but oh well.

I get here and I send a message where I am and he asked "what time could be you be there tomorrow"? So you do the math, GPS is showing 670 miles out, I pick up 10 hrs at midnight, and I have a 62 mph truck....Needless to say I told him no way to even make it tomorrow. So I'm waiting for a driver to show up to swap with.

On a bright side I got a free hotdog and teeshirt here at the T/A for truck driver appreciation, lol. Life is good....

Picked up in Pontoon Beach and dropped at Walmart in Beaver Dam, WI. No MT's available so I bobtailed down to Richfield where I sit no doing my break. I have a load going to PA out of here that delivers Monday morn, so I have plenty of time. Then hopefully he'll get me something to get me to the house for my hometime Tues.

Yea Sully I was there as you were pulling out. I waved at you when I pulled in and went around the lot, then saw you pulling out when I parked. Enjoy that break at the house.

 

Last day of home time. Always good to get a couple of days off. Seems I do just as much driving when I'm home as when I'm on the road, lol. Looking to move and think we found the house we want if we can get it.
