    Very good summation!!!

Also - It's really like "claiming more exemptons" on your taxes each year. The more you claim the more you make on pay day - but you get almost nothing back when you file your taxes at EOY. The less you claim the more you get at year end (hope that made sense)!

That explanation makes the most sense out of it that I have read so far. Thanks!

Another way of putting it is: You get $52.00 per day that uncle sam can't touch and it isn't counted on your year income. Example : You're salary the first 3 weeks out with a trainer is $500.00 gross (before any taxes or deductions). If you are on per diem pay you get $364.00 off the top and then you would be taxed on the remaining amount of $136.00. As far as uncle sam is concerned your taxable income would be the $136.00 not the original $500.00, thus more money in your pocket. I hope this helps.

Sitting at the house having my coffee and catching up on the threads. In the process of moving so it's a working vacation, uggghhhhh. Don't know if we will get it all done by Monday (end of vac.) but will have all of the grunt work out of the way for the wife and kids to finish up.

Having been out for several weeks at a time when you guys do get your couple days home time do you guys find that you work harder at home in those couple days then you do at work seeing as how things that need to get done at home pile up while your away?
