I had pretty much the same issue as you and went to school and hired on easily with FFE and kept record clean then moved on to better company the following year. No big deal.

There's companies that go by 3 yrs but I still see it too soon. This industry is getting stricter and stricter. Also that seatbelt ticket could be a red flag also.I see for now your only hope if anything would be the bad companies like crengland,Carolina cargo. But the better companies won't touch you.

Wow, I started in 2008 so maybe thats why I got hired easier. Geez now we know why there is a "driver shortage" lol Insane that a seatbelt ticket would disqualify someone!!!!!!!

Don't think that ticket alone would disqualify you but 3 tickets all together and not far apart from each other may.

Trucking companies take a stern view on seatbelt violations because of the direct simplicity of the law. When pulled over by law enforcement or pulling up to a scale house or inspection pit, NEVER remove your seatbelt until the officer gives you permission to do so. As long as you're behind the wheel, you're obligated to have it on. Keep all paper work/license/registrations within reach while wearing a seatbelt.

I have never known of a truck driver from any carrier to lose a job over a seat belt ticket. They don't like them of course. Now it might be possible such a ticket might be the straw that broke the camels back. The problem with that is so many people come in these forums and leave things out. I saw one comment the other day I know for a fact is not true. This comment has nothing to do with the OP. Just that it sometimes makes good people look bad when they make a decision to fire someone and somebody comes in here leaving out key important things and everybody is fawning all over them.

Believe it or not mega bottom feeder companies are some of the pickiest companies. I work food service and we hired a guy who had a dui not too long ago and several rookies, we all make over 90k. Its a hard job and not for most people but my point is there are tons of options and companies out there. No need to settle for a mega

60 in 45 is 15 and over. It's reckless in many places.

What you can try to do is find a smaller outfit and run a dump truck or something, bypass the DAC etc. Until it falls off your 3 year record and you look better.

I have had so many points from speeding that it took me 5 years in a Dump paving etc to work around it.

I was rear ended and the other guy took off, was found, then charged with leaving the scene... now I've got a "crash" that shows up on the mvr....it doesn't say no-fault and certainly doesn't say fault... but a good company that hired me say that they can't get me on their insurance because of it...I submitted the police report and everything and still the answer is NO...are there any options here? should I just forget it?
