Even a few of us across the river know Lupe (loopey), but, the question is, would admitting I know him come back to haunt me at a later date. :biggrin_2552:

I wonder what new questions he's cooking up now.........

Nevanerviss, if you KNEW Lupe like WE KNOW Lupe, you would pull the plug on your own life support machine...and FAST TOO....:biggrin_25522:

Yeah, I probably should... I just re-read my original post, and I wrote that I was in the class starting MARCH 4th... By all accounts, W&S is a good company, but I don't think even THEY permit time-travel...

Hi, my name is LUPE, and I approve this message... :biggrin_25523:

Why would you want to start over when you're already in a job that could lead to ownership and where you'd make good money?

Frankly, because I want to... While you're right, I do make good money where I am, I never alluded to wanting to own anything, mainly because I don't want the headache... Money isn't my sole motivation for doing this... I'm doing it, as I mentioned earlier, because I want to, not because I have to...

Make no mistake, I'm happy doing what I'm doing, but I just want a change...

If I don't like it, I can always go back to towing tractor/trailers instead of driving them... LOL

My question to you is were you a tow truck before and then upgraded to heavy duty when you got your cdl or how did that work out. I am a bit confused. Either way is there any way you could or would shed some light on what the training process entails.?

    Thanks

I was wondering the same thing when I read that sentence.

It was worded like she was driving a heavy tow truck prior to getting her CDL A; which doesn't make much sense, since heavy towing requires a CDL A.

I am very interested in knowing a bit more about heavy towing. I have a second interview w/ a local tow shop this afternoon and was trying to get any bit of info other that what is readily available on the web and watching old episodes of Wrecked.

The job i applied for is a CDL heavy duty tow truck operator trainee and driver of a Freightliner CL day cab towing Landol 135 trailer. the boss there said after being hired he goes around several weeks showing me the ropes w/ the flat bed. After that the tow truck training begins but I would be performing either job on any given day after training.
